Dr Rifly Rafiudeen is a Cardiologist with particular interest in Interventional Cardiology, including cardiovascular risk assessment and management, chest pain, and coronary artery disease.
Dr Rafiudeen obtained his MBBS (Hons) from the University of Melbourne, graduating in 2010. He completed his advanced cardiology training at the Royal Hobart Hospital, Royal Melbourne Hospital, and Western/Sunshine Hospitals in Melbourne.
He is completing his PhD through the University of Melbourne at Northern Hospital, looking at different mechanisms of heart attacks and ways to prevent them. He holds a public appointment at Northern Hospital, and is currently also completing an Interventional Fellowship at Northern Hospital in all areas of percutaneous coronary intervention including radial and femoral access, intracoronary imaging using OCT and IVUS, and physiologic coronary assessment using FFR.
He is actively involved in teaching medical students from the University of Melbourne as a Clinical Lecturer.
